McLaren Automotive has appointed Kemal Curic as chief design officer, effective from April 2026. He has joined McLaren Automotive’s executive leadership team and will be responsible for shaping the design vision and creative direction of the company’s portfolio.
Curic has more than two decades of global automotive design experience, with a career spanning performance and luxury vehicles. He joins McLaren from Ford Motor Company, where he most recently served as global design director for performance vehicles.

At McLaren Automotive, Curic will lead all design functions, including interiors, exteriors, CMF and digital design, working closely with engineering and product strategy teams to ensure the company maintains its high standards in lightweight, high-performance, emotionally engaging luxury cars.
