A new era as part of Vehicle Tech Week Europe
Now, as part of Vehicle Tech Week Europe, this event takes on even greater significance. Vehicle Tech Week Europe unites three trusted shows: Automotive Interiors Expo, Automotive Testing Expo and Autonomous Vehicle Tech Expo.

InteriVision Forum highlights
Running alongside the exhibition, the InteriVision Forum brings together speakers to form a packed program of presentations and panel discussions exploring the technologies and ideas shaping tomorrow’s cabin.
One standout is set to be the panel on CMF design in the era of the digital cabin, featuring Steve Stanforth, CMF design chief at Geely Technology Europe UK, alongside CMF consultant Burcin Kesercioglu. Speaking ahead of the show, Stanforth argued that even as cabins become increasingly software-defined, people still need reassurance, comfort and a sense of control: “Regardless of how advanced the software becomes, the human body remains analog.”
He pushed back on the idea that removing physical controls is automatically progressive, suggesting a hybrid approach is often more successful when tactile interaction is reserved for where it genuinely adds value.
Also at the InteriVision Forum, Dr Artur Mausbach, senior research fellow at the Royal College of Art, will present PaceDriven, an approach borrowed from architecture’s ‘pace layering’ concept that organizes vehicle design into five layers – structure, skin, service, scenery and stuff – to make disassembly, upgrading and recycling far easier. Mausbach will also join a panel discussion on end-of-life vehicles and circularity in interior systems alongside representatives from BASF and Porsche Consulting. On the materials side, Michael Ries, professor of soft matter physics at the University of Leeds, will explore all-cellulose composites, an emerging class of sustainable materials in which both matrix and reinforcement come from the same renewable biopolymer, removing compatibility issues at end of life and enabling full biodegradability. In an interview with AIW, Ries cautioned that genuine progress on sustainable materials requires “the entire supply chain and full product lifecycle”, which must be considered together, as a whole. He went on to argue that clear policy and international standards will ultimately be the deciding factor in how fast the industry moves.

Trailblazer Awards
Innovation across the cabin will also be celebrated through the Vehicle Tech Week Trailblazer Awards, which recognize the companies, technologies and individuals pushing interior design, materials and user experience forward. Trophies will be presented in a ceremony at the end of Day 2.
