Lucid Group has introduced Apple CarPlay and Android Auto to Lucid Gravity owners in North America through an over-the-air (OTA) software update released on March 12. The update is part of Lucid UX 3.5 and will be deployed to customers in the Middle East and Europe later in March.
The update enables smartphone integration directly within the vehicle’s infotainment system. Apple CarPlay is accessible on the upper-right Clearview Cockpit display, allowing users to access navigation, make calls, send and receive messages and stream music. Both wireless and USB connectivity are supported, provided the iPhone and software are compatible with CarPlay.
“Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are two of the most sought-after features by our customers”, said Emad Dlala, SVP of engineering and software at Lucid. “We are now providing a seamless connection between mobile devices and the Lucid Gravity. We’re excited to introduce these features to Lucid Gravity, which now offers even greater comfort and convenience for owners.”
