The High Country trim is to receive a more modern and athletic design, according to Chevrolet, with updates to both the exterior and interior. The changes debut on the 2027 Traverse and will be followed by the next-generation 2027 Silverado 1500.
“High Country is an important part of Chevrolet’s design strategy – a premium expression with a clear role across the line-up,” said Phil Zak, global executive exterior design director. “Launching first on the new Traverse and then on the Silverado, we’re evolving the trim’s identity into something more premium, modern, athletic and aspirational, while keeping it grounded in the capability and confidence that define Chevrolet.”
Inside the High Country
The High Country interior evolution comes through in a premium seating material designed to balance style, durability and everyday usability with new jet black seats with natural tan accents, natural tan edged seatbelts, debossed first-row headrests and real wood decor.
The 2027 Traverse has added camera features for improved visibility inside and around the vehicle. An interior camera, standard on High Country and RS models, provides a live view of the second and third rows through the center screen, allowing drivers to check on passengers, children or pets.
The Traverse High Country combines its updated design with a 2.5-liter turbocharged engine producing 328hp and 442Nm of torque, with up to 2,268kg of towing capacity. It also features a 17.7-inch center touchscreen, Super Cruise hands-free driver assistance and a suite of safety and driver-assistance technologies.
