Volkswagen has added voice control to climate functions of the 2020 Golf, allowing the car to respond interactively.
The driver and passenger can access the system’s menu control via the infotainment system’s screen or touch field below with direct access buttons. Features include the new Smart Climate menu, with Volkswagen claiming preconfigured scenarios can be activated with one touch or voice control.
Five frequently used scenarios have been identified by Volkswagen and transferred to the Smart Climate menu. These cover demisting windows, warming the footwell, warm air via vents, cold air in the footwell and a cool breeze in the interior.
