Updated cabin components for latest Mercedes-Benz GLE and GLE Coupé

For the 2023 GLE and GLE Coupé models, Mercedes-Benz has installed a wide range of updated standard componentry and expanded its options package to provide an increased level of individuality for customers.

New for these models, Mercedes-Benz has fitted the vehicles with its latest-generation steering wheel. It features touch sensor surfaces on the horizontal spokes, which can be used by the driver to operate both the steering wheel display and also the central display.

Customers can choose from a range of different interior color combinations, with catalana beige/black now added to the options for the GLE SUV and bahia brown/black for both models. If the AMG Line is selected, black/classic red accents are available exclusively for the Coupé.

The OEM has further expanded its interior offering for the GLE SUV and GLE Coupé with the Manufaktur piano lacquer black flowing lines trim, which was previously only available for the Mercedes-Maybach GLS. If black appointments are chosen, the seats can be upholstered in nappa leather.

Delivering audio within the new models is a Burmester audio surround-sound system that features a personal sound setup menu and the Dolby Atmos immersive audio experience. The system benefits from 13 speakers, 13 separate amplifier channels and a system output of 590W.

The GLE and GLE Coupé both feature the second-generation Mercedes-Benz User Experience (MBUX) infotainment system, to make the interior more digital and intelligent. Users can control a range of vehicle and comfort functions on the 12.3in LCD screens. The central display is operated as a touchscreen and benefits from having Apple Car Play and Android Auto wireless connectivity.

Energizing Air Control can also be selected. The system monitors air quality using air and fine-particle sensors. A two-stage filter concept reduces the number of fine particles and other pollutants entering the cabin. Depending on the measurement value, the vehicle will intelligently switch between fresh air and air-recirculation modes.
