To enhance the interior experience, the Polestar 2’s infotainment system now features Amazon Prime Video, with users able to stream content while the vehicle is parked or charging.
The Prime Video application joins YouTube, which launched in the Polestar 2 in June 2023. The OEM has consistently released applications to improve the user experience, with Waze, EasyPark, A Better Routeplanner, AccuWeather, Range Assistant and Journey Log – among others – all now featuring on the vehicle’s infotainment system.
“The successful launch and integration of Android Automotive OS in Polestar 2 has proven that we can leverage the best navigation and voice control in the business to make life with a Polestar easier,” said Thomas Ingenlath, Polestar’s CEO. “The Google Play Store has also gained a rich variety of apps that offer interactivity and entertainment, from playing games to streaming series.”
