To keep up with the demand for automotive airbags and other safety systems in South America, Toyoda Gosei has announced that it will increase production capacity at its group company in Brazil, GDBR Industria e Comercio de Componentes Quimicos e de Borracha (GDBR).
The facility’s footprint will be expanded and airbag and steering wheel production equipment will be installed to help cater for the increase in demand. Toyoda Gosei will also improve the layout at the GDBR site.
The Toyoda Gosei Group began producing automotive components at GBDR in 2015. Since then, the company has increased production and sales of interior and exterior products and door and window sealing rubber products.
