Honda has refreshed the Civic e:HEV hybrid with updated interior styling and exterior design.
Interior ambience
Inside, all grades will feature a black interior roof and pillars, complemented by matte chrome detailing around the air vents.
The Advance model will include interior illumination and footwell lights, and the Sport grade will feature a heated steering wheel. All Elegance vehicles will offer wireless charging within the center console, and all models will come equipped with a 10.2in digital driver display.
Advanced safety features
All Civic e:HEV models come with the Honda SENSING suite of active safety technologies, which includes features such as forward collision warning, which detects vehicles ahead and alerts the driver through audible, visual and tactile signals if approaching too quickly. The system uses a wide-angle, high-definition camera to improve detection of road markings, verges, motorcycles, bicycles and pedestrians in various lighting conditions, supported by a high-speed processing chip for accurate performance. From the Elegance grade onward, models now feature an auto-dimming rearview mirror – previously standard only on Sport and Advance trims – to help reduce glare and improve visibility.
“The Civic, in its 11th generation, is an integral part of Honda’s heritage, and the latest iteration further builds on its award-winning and excellent reputation. It delivers the dynamic performance, adaptability and style that Honda customers have come to expect,” said Rebecca Adamson, head of automobile at Honda UK. “With performance that excites, along with an updated interior styling and exterior design, the all-new Civic with its advanced hybrid powertrain is the perfect mix of efficiency and driving pleasure.”
Sharper exterior design
The upgrade features a redesigned front upper and lower grille, highlighted in black gloss and finished with a new grille and headlight.
The sculpted front bumper incorporates bolder character lines and a new body color lower bumper spoiler. New 18in two-tone, diamond-cut alloy wheels in gray for Advance grade and black in Sport grade models add to the Civic’s updated exterior. The Advance also boasts a black high-gloss door garnish.
None of the grades have front fog lights, which has been made possible by improved LED headlight technology to ensure optimal visibility is maintained.
To complement these upgrades, a new exterior paint option is now available in Seabed Blue, replacing Premium Crystal Blue, to highlight the Civic’s sleek, aerodynamic profile.
Dynamic performance
According to Honda, the latest Civic continues to deliver an outstanding balance of practicality and driving fun with its responsive hybrid powertrain. The current two-motor e:HEV hybrid system will remain unchanged.
