Harman has continued its collaboration with Tata Motors Passenger Vehicles (TMPV) and brought its in-cabin technology to the latest Tata Sierra SUV – whose in-cabin experience is powered by Harman’s advanced infotainment and digital instrument cluster capabilities, with an upgraded JBL audio system supported by Harman Ready Connect.

Harman Ready Connect is a locally manufactured next-generation suite of telematics control units (TCUs) designed to help drivers and passengers stay connected to what matters most, even in challenging environments.

Ready Connect provides 5G-ready telematics, safety features like emergency call and stolen-vehicle tracking, in-cabin HD streaming and video conferencing, as well as connected services including over-the-air updates, cybersecurity and remote diagnostics. Its smart conformal antenna maximizes performance while minimizing signal loss, delivering fast, secure and reliable connectivity on a scalable, futureproof platform.

“The Tata Sierra has always been iconic and the all new Sierra is reimagined and recrafted for a new era,” said Suman Sehra, VP, portfolio management and connectivity at Harman International.  “Harman Ready Connect represents the shift toward software-defined, experience-led mobility, and the new Tata Sierra is a perfect expression of that evolution.

“By collaborating closely with TMPV‘s R&D team, we focused on value co-creation and delivered a platform that brings high-performance connectivity, scalable architecture and future-ready digital services to support the connected digital life. This partnership demonstrates how a modern, product-driven approach and collaborative engineering can unlock transformational value for global auto makers and consumers alike.”

Powered by Harman’s latest infotainment architecture, the Tata Sierra features the Horizon View Display with JBL Modes for personalized entertainment, gaming support with controller compatibility, and Dolby Atmos audio. The system also introduces a 12-speaker system with enclosed subwoofer and soundbar, a first for an Indian auto maker.

Passengers can enjoy immersive cabin experiences such as Relax Mode and Silent Mode, while advanced visibility systems like Surround View and 4Sight Blind-Spot Monitoring enhance awareness. Integrated navigation, powered by MapmyIndia, completes a connected, personalized environment. Harman Ready Link Marketplace, a unified digital commerce platform that enables drivers to access a rich ecosystem of in-vehicle Android apps and third-party content, is also available in the Tata Sierra.

“It’s an honor to help drive the Tata Sierra into its next era with breakthrough technologies that deliver truly intuitive and deeply connected experiences,” said Krishna Kumar, managing director and automotive head, Harman India.

Mohan Savarkar, chief product officer and chief corporate quality officer at TMPV, said,  “With the Sierra, our focus was to create a cabin experience that feels as advanced and intuitive as the world our customers live in. Connectivity, digital interfaces and audio are no longer add-ons, they define how people engage with their vehicle every day. Our collaboration with Harman enables us to deliver a future-ready architecture, immersive in-cabin experiences and premium audio that together elevate the sense of technology, comfort and personalization inside the Sierra.”
