Through a collaboration with Simplenight, Parkopedia is helping to provide drivers with a range of in-car parking, charging and payment options. The first phase of the partnership will see global parking data being provided to cover on- and off-street locations, in addition to enabling in-vehicle payment for parking spaces. The two companies plan to add EV charging services in future updates.

Simplenight’s platform enables companies to provide real-time booking options across multiple categories such as dining, accommodation, attractions, events, fuel, parking, shopping and more. It is designed to integrate into OEM infotainment and navigation systems in addition to mobile applications and voice assistants, making it easier for vehicle manufacturers to add connected services to vehicles.

The latest partnership will enable OEMs to offer customers a more integrated and user-friendly parking, charging and payment experience.

“The Simplenight platform is a great complement to our parking, charging and payment offerings,” explained Hans Puvogel, COO at Parkopedia. “Parkopedia prides itself on providing auto-grade data and payment services that simplify drivers’ journeys by taking the stress out of vehicle-centric services such as parking and charging. Simplenight’s technology enables us to offer greater usability to today’s motorists by adding the ability to reserve and book parking ahead of time, providing additional peace of mind on arrival.”

Simplenight’s founder and CEO, Mark Halberstein, added, “Parkopedia’s vision greatly aligns with ours. By working together, our technology solutions for end consumers build customer loyalty, increase engagement and grow revenue via our transactional models.”
