New Mini Cooper 5 Door

Mini has announced the addition of the new Mini Cooper 5 Door to its line-up, offering enhanced comfort and interior space. The new model is produced at the Mini Plant in Oxford, alongside the 3 Door model, with first customer deliveries starting in August 2024.

The Cooper 5 Door comes with two petrol engine options and three trims.

The engine options are the Mini Cooper C – a 115kW/154hp three-cylinder engine that delivers 230 Nm of torque and a top speed of 140mph; and the Mini Cooper S – a 150kW/201hp four-cylinder engine which provides provides 300Nm of torque and a top speed of 150mph.

The trims available are Classic, Exclusive and Sport, each offering unique exterior and interior personalisation options.

Exterior and interior options

The Classic trim features a minimalist design with key elements highlighted in Vibrant Silver, five exterior paint options, two contrasting roof colors and two wheel options.

The Exclusive trim offers additional customization, including new Icy Sunshine Blue paint, Vescin Nightshade Blue interior, a dark headliner, Vibrant Silver grille and 17in U Spoke Silver wheels, with 18in wheels optional.

The Sport trim includes Sports Transmission, high-gloss black grill, a rear spoiler, 18in JCW Lap Spoke 2-Tone Alloy wheels, Chili Red roof and red/black hood stripes. The interior features a JCW black/red dashboard knit and a partially perforated Vescin steering wheel with red accents.

Interior elements

The interior focuses on a circular infotainment screen, toggle switches and a slim head-up display. Innovative materials create a versatile cabin with a modern look, featuring a panoramic glass roof and space for three rear passengers.

The central feature is a 24cm OLED display with touch and voice control via Mini Operating System 9. It displays vehicle information, navigation, media, phone and climate controls. The optional head-up display shows crucial information in the driver’s line of sight.

The 5 Door also provides seven Experience Modes: Core, Green, Go-Kart, Personal, Vivid, Timeless and Balance. These modes provide personalized cabin lighting and themes. The Mini Intelligent Personal Assistant can be activated by saying “Hey Mini,” enabling voice control for various functions.
