Stahl, a provider of speciality coatings and treatments for flexible substrates, has expanded its EleGrade portfolio, a collection of high-end leather finishing solutions for a variety of industries, including automotive.
These solutions have been designed to maximize the quality and yield of leather hides. The new formulation incorporates microcapsule technology, which aims to improve heat stability and reduces yellowing effects.
As part of the Stahl Neo collection, the EleGrade portfolio includes Aquabase for high to medium leather upgrading, Melio Ground for medium upgrading and Mirage for fine to medium upgrading. The company says these products can be customized to meet specific market needs, ranging from upholstery and classic shoes to high-fashion items.
The leather processing solutions in the EleGrade portfolio, Stahl says, comply with the Zero Discharge of Hazardous Chemicals Manufacturing Restricted Substances List (ZDHC-MRSL).
