NIRA Dynamics and Zeekr collaborate on next-gen ADAS

A strategic collaboration between NIRA Dynamics and Zeekr has been announced that will see the two companies collaborate on the development of next-generation ADAS solutions.

NIRA Dynamics and Zeekr have since last year been working on the development and marketing of ADAS solutions that will help increase vehicle safety. Their partnership is based on NIRA Dynamics’ wheel detection algorithm and the pair’s strong, mutual ambition to contribute towards a future with no road accidents.

At present, NIRA is developing a new and complete wheel safety product – to provide OEMs and their customers with a complete monitoring tool for additional vehicle safety. Building on the company’s Loose Wheel Indicator (LWI) software, which provides drivers with both visual and audible warnings, the new system seeks to deliver a higher level of performance with earlier detection for increased wheel safety.

In addition to the LWI, the pair will also work on the creation of other next-generation ADAS systems. As responsibility moves from the driver to the car, increasingly advanced software solutions are required to ensure that autonomous vehicles make the right decisions and alert vehicle occupants.

“The collaboration between two innovative companies like NIRA Dynamics and Zeekr has great potential,” commented Lisa Åbom, CEO, NIRA Dynamics. “We are now able to offer drivers globally a new level of safety, we are proud to yet again show that we stand by our objective to minimize road accidents.”
