Dolby Laboratories and Hyundai Motor Group have announced that Beijing Hyundai, Hyundai Motor Group’s joint venture in China, has introduced Dolby Atmos in its first China-exclusive electric vehicle, the Elexio, delivering what it describes as “the next generation of in-car entertainment experiences”. This is the first time Dolby Atmos has been integrated into a Hyundai model.
The Elexio is Hyundai Motor Group’s first fully electric sport utility vehicle developed exclusively for the Chinese market. The vehicle comes equipped with Dolby Atmos audio technology as standard, enhancing the in-car entertainment experience.
Elexio’s built-in audio system integrates Dolby Atmos, delivering immersive and clear sound through six speakers. An optional Bose external amplifier system, featuring eight speakers, is offered as an alternative. With streaming services such as Kugou Music and iQIYI integrated directly into the vehicle, passengers can access music, movies and dramas in Dolby Atmos, turning the cabin into a connected in-car entertainment space.
