MacDermid Enthone Industrial Solutions has presented its innovative surface finishing solutions for high-quality car interiors at Automotive Interiors Expo Novi 2019.
Visitors to the show discovered how the company’s range of solutions enable manufacturers to create high-performing and consistent components within vehicles. According to MacDermid, trends in the automotive industry are reaching new levels, with a growing need for sleek, integrated touchscreen film technology and innovate decorative finishes.
MacDermid Enthone’s XtraForm films are offered in a wide range of finishes that can be harmonized and tailored for the cockpit interior. Designs with seamless, integrated functionality and decoration, enable applicators to manufacture high-quality automotive parts.
The XtraForm Antiglare was a key highlight at MacDermid Enthone’s booth at the exhibition. A formable and textured film designed for deep draw 3D Film Insert Molding (FIM) applications, it allows images to be seen without the distraction of surface glare from bright lights or the reflection of moving objects. With this solution, applicators can develop antiglare surfaces of 15 to 75 gloss units.
Also featured at the show was the new OEM approved DecoKlad Paint-on-Chrome technology and an array of decorative fashion finishes, all with the ability to provide a distinctive dark, lustrous bright or satin appearance. These finishes are ideally suited for a variety of automotive applications where an aesthetic fashion finish is critical to product differentiation.
