Li Auto merges comfort and practicality with the Li L7

Chinese EV manufacturer Li Auto has launched the Li L7, a five-seat family SUV which comes in three different trims, the Air, Pro, and Max to cater for a range of requirements. The Li L7 is 5,050mm-long and 1,995mm-wide, enabling the SUV to benefit from a spacious interior and a generous 1,160mm worth of legroom in the rear.

At the back of the front passenger seat is an electric footrest, a central armrest and electric seats which can be adjusted to have provide a back recline of between 25° and 40°. Furthermore, the seats have been designed with a 270° embracing design, and the right second-row seat can be converted to a “Queen’s Seat” with the press of a button to provide a “strain-free riding experience”.

The SUV benefits from 26 storage spaces and a trunk with a depth of more than 1m. The Li L7 also supports “Double Bed Mode” which can be activated by taking off the headrests and turning on “Camping Mode.”

For infotainment, the vehicle features premium equipment that can turn the cabin into an audio-visual room or game room. The Li L7 Max comes standard with a rear row screen, consisting of three 15.7in 3K LCD screens, all with an ultra-thin anti-reflective coating for an undisturbed viewing experience in different light levels. Low Blue Light technology also features to protect eyesight. The interior features a 7.3.4 surround sound system consisting of 21 speakers and amplifiers with a maximum power output of 1,920W.

Additionally, the Li L7 comes standard with a panoramic sunroof with electric sunshade; a double-layered, silver-plated heat insulating front windshield; an independently controllable rear climate system; five heated seats; and ventilation and lumbar massage for four seats. For additional safety, the Li L7 comes equipped with airbags and curtain airbags covering 10 positions in the vehicle, including rear seat side airbags.

To improve the health of its users, the SUV features an outdoor air quality system and an indoor real-time PM2.5 monitoring system to ensure a cabin environment that is safe for occupants.

In terms of intelligent technology, both the Li L7 Air and the Li L7 Pro come standard with SS Pro, powered by a Qualcomm automotive-grade 8155 chip, while the Li L7 Max comes standard with SS Max, powered by two Qualcomm automotive-grade 8155 chips.

Li Auto’s smart in-car voice assistant, Li Xiang Tong Xue, has been developed with a new-generation device-cloud integrated architecture, featuring the company’s self-developed inference engine for in-car scenarios – LisaRT. This provides solid support for the in-car deployment of more powerful and complex algorithms. In-roads have also been made with the company’s speech- and vision-related applications, based on the company’s self-developed algorithms.

Speech-wise the MIMO-NET algorithm can accurately isolate different human voices in multiple zones. Aided by Li Auto’s self-developed voice recognition algorithm, MSE-NET, Li Xiang Tong Xue’s activation and recognition accuracy both reached 98% in vehicle field tests. These rates reached over 90% under the three key scenarios of high noise, low voices and voice commands from children. On the vision side, the OEM’s self-developed MVS-NET algorithm can realize accurate gesture recognition for all occupants. Combined with gesture wake-up technology, it helps achieve easier interactions through gestures in a more natural way.
