Telechips and P3 partner to reimagine infotainment systems

P3 Digital Services, an in-vehicle infotainment (IVI) technology specialist, has partnered with electronics company ZBO Electronics to create an infotainment solution for vehicle manufacturers.

The collaboration integrates P3’s Sparq OS infotainment platform with ZBO Electronics’ ZBOX.9 IVI domain controller to provide a complete hardware and software solution for IVI.

The combined platform leverages a system-on-chip (SoC) from SemiDrive Technology, which provides high power and automotive-centric design. Both Sparq OS and ZBOX.9 are powered by Android Automotive OS, currently the fastest-growing IVI operating system.

This technical pre-integration will be demonstrated at Car.HMI Europe 2024 in Berlin, Germany, on June 26-28.

Laurentiu Mihai, co-founder and CEO of ZBO Electronics, emphasized the advantages of this integration, stating that embracing Android allows for a highly functional, flexible and modular IVI platform that is cost- and resource-efficient. The pre-integrated Android-based platform is intended to simplify the process for OEMs when introducing IVI by offering a flexible technology solution that delivers the right services and user experience, he said.

Marius Mailat, CTO and managing director of P3 Digital Services, highlighted the importance of this partnership: ā€œThere’s a very real need for an all-in pre-integrated platform for infotainment, and with this collaboration we’re satisfying that requirement with a powerful solution.

ā€œThe partnership and integration of P3 and ZBO Electronics technologies brings together our complementary software and hardware to create a complete, game-changing solution for car makers that will enable them to bring their new products onto the marketplace more rapidly and economically.”
