This year’s Automotive Interiors Expo North America will take place from October 21-23 at the Suburban Collection Showplace in Novi, Michigan. The free-to-attend exhibition provides a unique opportunity to explore exclusive insights into vehicle interior materials, technologies and design.
As the automotive industry continues its rapid transformation toward electrification, autonomy and personalization, the expo offers an unmissable opportunity for OEMs, Tier 1 and Tier 2 suppliers, designers, engineers and procurement professionals to discover the latest interior innovations and connect with leading companies and individuals across the sector.
Innovation, materials and trends under one roof
Automotive Interiors Expo North America brings together a curated line-up of high-quality exhibitors and suppliers showcasing the latest developments in surface materials, smart textiles, sustainable composites, acoustic solutions, ambient lighting, adhesives, fasteners, foams, coatings, decorative trims and HMI components.
Many exhibitors will reveal new product lines and design concepts focusing on sustainability, lightweight construction, advanced finishes and software-driven cabin technologies. Visitors can also explore innovations in connectivity, haptics, ambient lighting and the integration of electronics into cabin materials and surfaces.
Featured programs: InteriVision Summit and Innovation Showcase
Alongside the exhibition, attendees can access two key features that make the expo much more than a traditional trade show.
InteriVision Summit
Now in its second year, the InteriVision Summit brings together leading designers, engineers and material experts to discuss the future of automotive interiors. Sessions will explore themes such as software-defined cabins, AI assured functional safety, intelligent experience design, smart cockpit and software-defined vehicles, sustainable design, circular material flows, HMI integration and the evolving user experience in next-generation vehicles.
Jesse Diephuis, lead designer at General Motors Advanced Design, will speak at the summit, exploring ‘Designing for correctness: how emotion, ecosystems and innovation align.’ Drawing on his experience with GM, Ford and consulting across Asia-Pacific, he will argue that true design success isn’t just about speed, but about creating lasting solutions that balance empathy, emotion and ecosystems. Jesse will share how designers can move beyond products and screens to shape full experiences while embracing AI and human augmentation to drive meaningful, human-centered innovation.
Elsewhere on the summit program, Mahadevan Vanchiswaran, principal solution architect (fellow) at Stellantis, will delve into the evolving landscape of smart cockpit systems and software-defined vehicles in his presentation, ‘Smart cockpit and software-defined vehicles.’
Aurel Francois, adjunct professor/creative designer at Lawrence Technological University, will discuss ‘How AI is enhancing the creative process in automotive interiors.’ With the automotive industry facing an unprecedented streak of challenges and disruptions, Francois will highlight how new AI tools can enable streamlined creative workflows, benefiting students, professionals and end users.
Innovation Showcase
The Innovation Showcase offers quick, engaging presentations and live product demonstrations on the show floor. These sessions provide a concise look at the latest technologies, creative concepts and manufacturing solutions driving the evolution of modern vehicle interiors.
