Lincoln has developed a new nature-inspired theme for its Lincoln Rejuvenate in-vehicle feature that has been proven to support short-term relaxation. Forest Meditation was created in collaboration with Calm, a leading mental health and wellness company.
An engineering study by Purdue University, commissioned by Lincoln, found that the immersive experience provided short-term benefits linked to increased relaxation and reduced stress during stationary Rejuvenate sessions. With 70% of Americans experiencing daily stress, the need for meaningful moments of calm has never been greater, the auto maker said.
The Forest Meditation theme is designed to transport clients into a serene natural setting with calm forest visuals and immersive sound, which can be paired with the Mystic Forest scent. Narrated by Calmâs Tamara Levitt, the theme offers a body scan meditation that guides listeners through each part of the body in 5- or 10-minute sessions.
Four themes
With the introduction of Forest Meditation, Lincoln Rejuvenate now offers four distinct themes. Aurora Borealis offers an ethereal visual and auditory experience inspired by the natural phenomenon; ElementsâŻis a multi-sensory journey through the fundamental elements of nature; Waterfall Meditation (in collaboration with Calm) provides an immersive experience evoking the serenity of cascading water; and Forest Meditation (in collaboration with Calm) transports occupants into a serene natural forest environment.
