Malaysian firm ACO Tech and Huawei Technologies have announced a collaboration to combine the former’s Atlas operating system, a next-generation automotive infotainment operating system in Malaysia, and Huawei’s cloud technology

To this end, Atlas will see a further upgrade and expansion to incorporate Cloud Alpha Edge solutions, to build an Internet of Vehicles (IoV) big data telematics service providers’ (TSPs) platform. Cloud Alpha Edge is a cloud AI infrastructure developed by Telekom Malaysia Berhad and Huawei Malaysia.

By tapping into Huawei Cloud, ACO Tech says its customers will enjoy the power of a reliable, secure, agile and future-ready cloud platform and services that speed up, automate and improve businesses. ACO Tech will also leverage Huawei’s big data and AI technologies to bring more benefits to the IoV market.

“We are proud to announce the extension of our collaboration with Huawei Technologies (Malaysia) as part of ACO Tech’s regional initiatives to jointly develop cloud-based automotive solutions in a bid to provide innovative, intuitive and localized in-car experiences that make perfect sense to the automotive industry,” said Li Pu, CEO of ACO Tech. “Cloud computing is the catalyst for the digital transformation of the industry, and we are convinced that the services Huawei Cloud provides are essential in pushing the digital drive across the industry. We are determined to provide reliable, secure and cost-effective cloud services to help organizations of all sizes grow in today’s intelligent world.”

Launched last September, the Atlas OS is a system that has been wholly led and developed by a Malaysian team and is an entirely new setup that runs on Android 10 and above.
